Be The Change

#IntegrityFirst, Inc. 2021-2022 Jamestown Jackals Mentoring

Each one of us has a story, a path we have traveled in life to get to our current locations. #IntegrityFirst believes that these experiences influence the people we are today. By sharing our personal stories, we at #IntegrityFirst can motivate others to reach their full potential. Our personal stories teach life lessons, while also helping build those connections to truly reach individuals and motivate them to be all that they can be. The Jamestown Jackals professional basketball players will serve as mentors that prioritize building connections with youth, with an underlying message that encourages positive lifestyle choices. The Jackals players will provide mentees the opportunity to be involved in something bigger than themselves, something to look forward to, and something to take pride in while developing a sense of belonging.

12 Week Mentoring Program

  • 4-6 Mentors each with 2-4 Mentees
  • Each Mentor/Mentee will receive a YMCA Membership

Welcome Dinner

Outline and clarify policies and procedures. A short speech about the mentoring program. Match mentees and mentors.

Mid-Program Review

Assembling mentoring pairs to learn how they are progressing and ask them to share things they’ve learned and ways they’ve learned them. This is a great opportunity to also ask for and receive feedback on program policies and procedures to ensure the program remains effective.

Graduation Ceremony
