Michael Davenport scored 23 points, Brandon McClester scored 22 and Latrell Alford added 21 as the Jamestown Jackals beat the DuBois Dream, 123-93, in the North American Basketball League on Sunday afternoon at Jamestown Community College’s Physical Education Complex.
McClester scored 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Davenport added 8 points during a 32-25 first quarter in favor of the Jackals.
Maceo Wofford scored 8 of his 10 points in the second quarter as Jamestown’s lead grew to 58-50 at halftime.
Davenport scored another 8 points in the third quarter as the Jackals (8-1) took a 12-point lead into the final period.
McClester pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds while Alford and Daniel Mulamba each had nine. Davenport led Jamestown with four steals.
“It’s been great. The guys are really coming together,” Kayla Crosby, Jackals general manager, said of the team’s 8-1 start to the season. “You can see the chemistry on the court. It’s fun to watch them.”
Hasiin Dixon led the Dream with 18 points while Cory Callejas and DeOndre Terrell each had 15.
Jamestown returns to action at 5 p.m. next Sunday against Ohio Bootleggers at the Physical Education Complex.
